Some economists are saying "Economists say 2008 will be a year to forget: Analysts at American Economic Association now see recession as a given", so we are or will be in recession. The question is how long will it take to be officially acknowledged and then how long and how bad will it be?
My estimation, things will get worse and worse for some time. (Things may improve for one quarter or two but that will be temporary not a bottoming, I think.)
